One of the most exciting things about flipping in Old School RuneScape is that it feels alive. Markets shift every day, sometimes every hour, and what worked yesterday might flop today. Here are three items I’ve been watching and flipping recently that are worth your time:
1. Sharks 🦈
Sharks are always in demand — PvMers, PKers, even casual players rely on them. Because they move in such high volume, margins can look small on paper (maybe 15–25 gp each), but if you buy and sell in bulk, the profit adds up fast. I like sharks when the market feels stable because they’re safe, consistent, and don’t tie up too much cash.
2. Battle Staves ⚔️
This is a sneaky good flip. Battle staves rise and fall depending on alch margins and elemental staff demand. Sometimes you’ll see 500–800 gp spreads that hold for a while. They’re not as liquid as food or potions, but when you catch the right window, it feels like free money.
3. Bandos Tassets 🛡️
Now, let’s talk about the spicy flip. Bandos tassets are a “big-ticket” item that can swing thousands of gp per flip. The trick is timing. Buy when panic sellers dump after an update or price correction, and relist when PvMers push the price back up. It’s riskier than sharks, but that thrill of watching a 150k+ margin land never gets old.
Final Thoughts
If you’re just starting out, sharks and battle staves are safer bets. If you’ve built up some GP and want to take a shot at the higher roller table, tassets are worth experimenting with. Just don’t put all your cash into one risky flip — spread it out, stay patient, and let the margins work for you.
